OMG, double digits. Who knew I’d last this long.
Episode 30: Tim’s ExistPENCIL Crisis | The Erasable Podcast
Tim Wasem of The Writing Arsenal talks about his reasons for wanting to narrow down his pencil options. This got me thinking about my own state of pens and pencils and simplifying them. It sure is an attractive idea.
The Unintended Circumstance of Life with Only 4 Pens | Jeff Abbott at The Pen Addict
On a related note... hm... what writing utensils would I choose if I had to pack all my things? For sure, Pentel EnerGel Euro would stay with me.
Blackwing Volumes Subscription - Blackwing
I’m tempted but I think I’ll pick the editions I want as they come out, instead of subscribing.
Moleskine Alternatives — The Pen Addict
The Moleskine journal didn’t work out for me either.
Why Mathematicians Are Hoarding This Special Type of Japanese Chalk
via Lowell Reade on Twitter.
Yes, there is hoarding in chalks too. :)
Things I tried recently (and liked)
Yu-nakagawa x House Industries masking tapes, at Heath Ceramics (see below)
Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pen - Fine Nib - Gold Plain Body - JetPens.com
I like it but I think it's a bit too heavy for me.
Ticonderoga My First Tri-Write
Ah ha ha, this pencil cracks me up whenever I hold it. More substantial and darker than I thought. Triangular AND chunky. Love it.
Adding to my wishlist
Noizio – ambient sound equalizer for relax or productivity.
Recent addition to my iMac and iOS devices. Love it.
Cortex - Relay FM
I’m a big fan of Hello Internet, so this new podcast with Myke Hurley and C.G.P. Grey was an instant subscription for me. I’m trying out the 3 icons in the dock method... (´･_･`) And I really hope they do more than 10 episodes.
House Industries in the house – Heath Ceramics
A must visit if you’re a fan of House Industries. If you want the aforementioned Yu-nakagawa x House Industries tapes, they have them here. These don't come by very often outside of Japan, as far as I know.
My new favorite cafe. Great ambiance, great coffee. Their fig & ricotta toast is not to be missed.
Keep it real, folks.
